American Express Provides Financial Support for Haiti Relief Efforts

New York, NY – August 20, 2021 – American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) has committed $100,000 to the American Red Cross to support on-the-ground relief efforts in Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake on August 14, 2021. 

The 7.2 magnitude earthquake resulted in widespread damage and devastation in Haiti leaving thousands of people in need of support. American Express’ contribution will help the Haitian Red Cross provide shelter, emergency relief, first aid, and other supplies and services to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.

American Express is a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program and continues to mobilize its resources to support communities in need during times of crisis.
