SENECA, SC, August 5, 2021 – BASF’s site in Seneca, South Carolina recently became the first manufacturing industry partner to join the Keowee Key Community Partnership, an organization that brings community partners together to improve the lives of people in Oconee County.
“What an incredible difference BASF is making today! Having the company as our first major manufacturing partner is a boon to the people of Oconee County,” said Jon Bachman, Chairman of the Keowee Key Community Partnership. “All of us, our non-profit partners, and the people they serve, are thrilled.”
BASF joins 20 local organizations that support the community, including organizations that BASF has donated to or volunteered for, including the Keowee Key Fire Department, Collins Children’s Home, Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Purple Heart Homes, Safe Harbor and more. Keowee Key members volunteer more than 100,000 hours annually in the community. As of the end of the second quarter 2021, cumulative contributions reported by the Keowee Key Community Partnership exceeded $634,000.
