CORK, Ireland – Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), the global leader for smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, has been recognized as one of America’s Best Large Employers in 2023 by Forbes.

“Johnson Controls has long understood the importance of creating a workplace that values diversity, celebrates creativity and inspires innovation,” said Marlon Sullivan, chief human resources officer, Johnson Controls. “I thank our employees for their role in shaping our unique culture where employees can focus their enthusiasm and passion for exceeding our customers’ expectations – all while making a lasting and important difference in the world.”

“Johnson Controls has long understood the importance of creating a workplace that values diversity, celebrates creativity and inspires innovation.” – Marlon Sullivan, chief human resources officer, Johnson Controls

Forbes and Statista selected the America’s Best Employers 2023 through an independent survey applied to a vast sample of approximately 45,000 American employees working for companies with more than 1,000 employees in the U.S. Across 25 industry sectors, 1000 employers received awards – split between 500 large employers and 500 midsize employers. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employee evaluations also included other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively.

This is Johnson Controls’ latest recognition as an employer of choice. Recent awards include:

  • Newsweek America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity
  • Forbes World’s Best Employers
  • Fortune Change the World list
  • Forbes Best Employers for Diversity
  • Ethisphere World’s Most Ethical Companies
